Jeremiah 6:16. This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Trying to reach the top of a ridge near Lily Lake in Colorado, we realized that sometimes you have to give up altitude in order to reach the top. Are there “ways” of God’s that feel counter-intuitive to you? Jesus intentionally makes us think this way, telling us that the last will become first and those at the front of the line will end up at the back (Matthew 19:30). God’s way is good. It leads to rest. But we often refuse to follow God, thinking we know better. When you find yourself at a crossroads, look, ask, and walk in God’s way.
